Palintest Lumiso Pooltest 6 Photometer (Pool and Spa Water Balance Tester)

Description

What it does

Palintest Lumiso Pooltest 6 photometer provides direct-reading photometric pool water testing results so you can accurately monitor disinfection and water balance. The instrument uses a dual wavelength, direct-reading colorimeter system and guides you through blanking and reading, with prompts to re-blank after 50 minutes or when temperature changes significantly. 

Key features

• Tests include Bromine, Chlorine (0–5 and 0–10 ranges), pH (6.5–8.4), Total Alkalinity (0–500), Calcium Hardness (0–500), Cyanuric Acid (0–200) 

• IP67 waterproof housing for poolside use 

• Uses 25 mm diameter tubes and runs on 3 x AA batteries 

• Micro USB Type B port for connectivity (6V max, 200mA max DC) 

How to use

1. Rinse equipment thoroughly with the water being tested. 

2. Fill the tube to the 10 mL line accurately. 

3. Select the test from the menu, then complete the blanking step (the “read” option appears after blanking). 

4. Add the correct photometer tablet reagent, crush and mix until dissolved, then insert the tube and take the reading. Use Palintest Photometer tablets only (rapid dissolving/comparator tablets are not suitable). 

5. Record the result and repeat testing as required. The instrument will prompt for re-blanking after 50 minutes or if temperature changes significantly. 

Dose guide (per test)

• Reagents vary by parameter. Follow the on-screen test method and the relevant instructions for the correct tablet(s). Use Pooltest 6 photometer tablets for Lumiso testing. 

Note: If you adjust chemicals (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.), allow circulation to mix thoroughly, then retest to confirm the new reading.

Safety and handling

• Do not ingest tablets or test reagents. Avoid contact with eyes and skin and wash hands after testing.

• Do not mix reagents together. Keep tablets dry and in their original packaging.

• Keep the Palintest Lumiso Pooltest 6 photometer optics and test tubes clean and dry externally before inserting into the chamber for best accuracy.
