What it does

The Lovibond PM 630 photometer provides digital, repeatable water analysis for the most important pool parameters, helping you maintain balanced water and verify treatment performance. It supports up to 34 methods, stores results in memory, and enables wireless transfer to the AquaLX app for logging, review, and export (CSV).

How to use

  1. Collect a sample in the correct vial (use the supplied vial size and adaptor as required). 

  2. Select the test method on the PM 630 (follow the on-screen prompts for the chosen parameter). 

  3. Zero the instrument with a blank sample where required (the PM 630 supports One Time Zero, depending on method). 

  4. Add the correct reagent (tablet, liquid, or powder depending on the method), mix, and allow the reaction time (the instrument provides countdown guidance). 

  5. Insert the vial and read the result, then save and transfer results to the AquaLX app if required. 

Dose guide (per test)

  • The PM 630 uses Lovibond tablet, liquid, and powder reagents depending on the parameter selected. The instrument prompts the reagent type and reaction time, so follow the method steps displayed for each test. 

Typical pool parameters included (examples): free and total chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, phosphate, bromine, and more, up to 34 methods. 

Note: Results can be stored on the device and shared for reporting and trending, supporting service records and customer reporting. 

Safety and handling

  • Reagents are chemicals. Do not mix reagents, avoid ingestion, and wash hands after testing.

  • Use eye protection and gloves where appropriate, especially when handling multiple tests in a plant room or commercial setting.

  • Store reagents sealed, cool, and dry, and keep away from children and pets.
