What it does

The Lovibond PM 600 professional photometer helps you monitor key pool water parameters so you can maintain balanced, safe water and verify chemical performance. It provides guided methods with on-screen prompts and reaction timers, stores up to 1000 readings with date/time and sample ID, and is designed for poolside use with a waterproof housing. Perfect for pool water analysis.

How to use

1. Collect your sample in the supplied vial(s) and ensure they are clean and rinsed with pool water. 

2. Select the test method on the PM 600 for the parameter you want to measure. 

3. Blank and zero the instrument if prompted (per the on-screen method steps). 

4. Add the correct tablet reagent, mix until dissolved, and follow the device countdown timer for the reaction time. 

5. Read and record the result, then save to memory (and download later if required). 

Dose guide (per test)

• The PM 600 uses Lovibond tablet reagents per method. The kit is commonly supplied with starter tablets for core testing (for example DPD No.1, DPD No.3, Phenol Red, Calcio-H No.1 and No.2, and Alka-M). Follow the PM 600 prompts for the correct reagent and timing for each parameter. 

Note: If results are out of range, make your chemical adjustment, allow circulation to mix thoroughly, then retest and log the updated reading.

Safety and handling

• Do not mix reagents, and keep tablets in their original packaging until use.

• Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wash hands after testing, and use gloves and eye protection when handling reagents frequently.

• Store reagents cool, dry, and securely away from children and pets.
