What it does

Palintest pH Rapid Tablets allow you to test pH so you can keep pool and spa water balanced. Phenol red testing typically covers the common pool/spa pH scale of 6.8 to 8.4, supporting consistent water balance and clearer chemical control.

How to use

1. Rinse the test cell with pool or spa water to avoid contamination. 

2. Fill to the mark (commonly 10 ml, depending on your comparator). 

3. Add 1 tablet, then crush (if your kit requires it) and mix until fully dissolved. 

4. Compare the colour against your phenol red pH scale and record the reading. 

5. If the colour is outside the range and cannot be matched, repeat using the correct disc/range for your kit. 

Dose guide (per test)

• 1 tablet per test (with your kit’s stated sample volume). 

Note: For best control, test regularly and retest after any chemical adjustment once circulation has mixed the water.

Safety and handling

• Store in the tightly closed original container, in a cool, dry place, and keep separate from food and other sensitive materials. 

• Follow good personal hygiene practices when handling tablets. 

• If there is a risk of contact, wear chemical splash goggles and chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile commonly recommended).
