What it does

Palintest pH Rapid Tablets help you measure pH so you can keep pool and spa water balanced. pH control supports bather comfort, improves sanitiser efficiency, and helps protect surfaces and equipment. Phenol red testing covers the common pool/spa pH checking range (colour scale typically 6.8 to 8.4).

How to use

1. Rinse your test cell with pool water (to avoid contamination).

2. Fill to the mark on your comparator cell (commonly 10 ml, follow your kit instructions). 

3. Add 1 tablet, then crush (if required) and mix until dissolved. 

4. Compare the colour to the pH scale on your test kit and record the reading.

5. If colour is distorted (for example, an unusually intense purple can indicate interference from high disinfectant residual), disregard and retest. 

Dose guide (per test)

• 1 tablet per test (typically using a 10 ml sample cell, per your kit). 

Note: If you make any chemical adjustments, run circulation and retest to confirm you are back in range.

Safety and handling

• Avoid ingestion and contact with eyes and skin, and wash hands after use. 

• Wear suitable gloves and eye protection if you are handling tablets frequently or in a commercial setting. 

• Store closed, dry, and away from chemicals and children/pets. 

Compatibility note (important): “Rapid Domestic” phenol red tablets are commonly listed as not suitable for photometers. If using a photometer, they typically need the photometer-grade phenol red tablets instead.
